Chapter 11- Civilisation- Horror in the Woods

It was a blur. Sirens sounding in the distance, people yelling, and all of a sudden a needle was sticked into my head and I must've fallen asleep because nothing happened after that that I remember.  Now I'm in a white room, with me entire body wrapped up like a mummy, only leaving my head uncovered. A man walked into the room and sat down. He had brown hair, a sophisticated grey tie and suit jacket on, and fancy leather black shoes that clicked against the marble floor in the small room.
"Bermuda, why were you in the woods at approximately 10:00am?" he didn't even ask. I knew this was an order to tell him why. But I knew he wouldn't believe anything I told him. A moment of silence passed and a few people dressed in all white hazmat suits walked in the room, closing the door behind them while dragging in a large metal machine. It had many wires and a space in a middle they turned towards them, and I couldn't see it. They started to type and hooked an IV looking wire into my arm.
"Do you mind if I tell the entire story?" I whispered. My voice was croaky and the people in hazmat suits nodded to the man in the suit.
"That's where we'd prefer you to start. About before when you dissapeared in July." he nodded assuringly to me to start.
"I was going around the school, about to take the back entrance to the school. I felt a presence following me and I started to run. Next thing I know a mysterious figure is shoving me into the entrance if an old brick home, up the stairs, and chaining me up by a window." I held my breath and bit my tongue, thinking somehow they would believe just that.
"What did you eat?" the man in the suit asked while leaning into the table. I tried to move my arms to start to run, anywhere but here, but the tape like material I was wrapped in kept my arms and legs close.
"Stay away from the wood. Okay? Its no good there. The... The reason those people have disappeared there is for a reason you would never believe, and you can't see for yourself because then you will die. But humans want to know. So telling you isn't going to do any good, because then your first instinct will to go and find out what it is, only to die knowing. But that's okay with you apparently, since you've sent many men out there to find what happened. They are going to die out there. All your missing peoples who have gone 'missing' in that wood, I watched them die. They're dead. Listen? Dead. You're wasting your precious time." as I finished the sentence the man in the suit nodded and as the hazmat people were about to pull some sort of lever, I ripped the tape away and the IV I threw as far away from me ad I could, and heard it clank against the wall. I took my bag, that was conviently places near the door and remembered I had the paper clip. I grabbed that and unlocked the door, and ran outside. People in full bullet proof wear stood outside. One shot me. I fell on the white marble floor, and could see it turn to a dark red color. The people in bullet proof armour returned to where they were, and I was left there.
I woke up in some sandy area. My shoulder burned and the sand around it turned red.
        Where... What?

Chapter 9- Person in the Woods- Horror in the Woods

I opened my eyes from a long rest. My stomach grumbled, as this normally was the time the hand would come and feed me. Must be around twelve in the afternoon. As my eyes got back into focus, I noticed something strange. The door was open a crack, and neither Esmeralda or Sally were to be seen. Not even food.
I half way stood up, as the roof was too low for my head to fit. I crawled out the door, and looked out. Still, no Sally or Esmeralda.
"SALLY! ESMERALDA! Hello?" I called out multiple times. No one answered, and my stomach started to churn. I just hope they didn't go west...
         West she did go.
Both of the voices echoed. How do you know? You only are in my head. You can't escape.
YOU BRAT! You just have to assume everything don't you. We aren't only yours you selfish being. We see everything you see. Even if your eyes are closed.
I'm not selfish! I don't want to keep you. Didn't you choose me? Why didn't I get voices that didn't have anger issues? Don't answer. I'm going to find them. I'm going west first. I think. Maybe not... You could be lying... But Sally doesn't know where my house is I think, so that gives her one more reason to follow the little pleasant moss covered path that could lead to her death. No ones stupid enough to get close to the house though. She went another way.
I strode off after grabbing a little distressed brown leather bag, and filling it with the little plastic water bottle I saw, and a small safety pin. As I approached what I thought was the river,  I grabbed the water bottle and filled it all the way up to the brim.
Crunch there was a sound coming from around a clump of trees near the main path. I saw the light of a flash light, and ducked under a bush that was near the stream. The tips of my dress got wet from the raging water, and the wood, for the first time in a year, even though there is a mysterious man in it, felt tranquil. The misty breeze, water running, I even thought for a second I was a little girl again, running through the meadow that was behind my house, going to school and playing tag with a friend or two. It all felt fine until I realised I was behind a bush for a reason. Someone's life was in danger.
I crunched down and crept over to a tree for cover. He was about a foot away from me, and I was scared he would hear me even breathe. His flash light twitched, and then went out. He smacked it a few times, then mumbled something of anger after shoving it back into his pocket. I saw a figure leap, and I jumped up, alarming him and making him pull his gun out. I haven't been in this wood long enough to no longer know what to do and who he was. An officer. And I need to put my hands up.
"You're in danger" I whispered under my breath.
"Go away. You're better off away from this wood."

Chapter 7- Mike- Taken By Her

I've been working on this case for over a week now. There has been about 92 missing peoples cases and on my 40 reported deaths. I can't wrap my head around why I of all people I was picked to do this case. Its been around even before the police department was established in the surrounding towns! How was I supposed to find out what happened to all those people?
That's not it either. There is rumor of a child that roams the place. I think its a gang of teenagers gone wrong. Either way, I need solid proof, and that seems to be the last thing I'm going to get. The 40 people who were pronounced dead had almost no remains, only some speck of hair or blood. All the bones were gone. All the bodies destroyed. And once someone found the blood, the next day it was cleaned up even before we could sample it.
Three people were identified out of the dead ones too. Marshall Bowers, Alissa Ross, and Margaret Watson. The people who we're trying to track down from the missing file are Bermuda Watson, Jack Shelton, and Sally Vixen.
When I was going through the identified people who are missing and dead, I noticed a few things. There are sisters. Bermuda, or as she likes to be called Bermi, and Margaret, Margi, Watson. Two sisters gone missing was the news headline for the last week of July. About a 11 months later, One sister of the missing pronounced dead.         They have a mysterious backstory too. Their Mother, Annabelle Tucking, her maiden name, died after she had Bermuda. And not while having Bermuda either, five days after because of a mysterious fever that made her unable to move and have yellow tinted eyes. Her hands were said to have little rings around them resembling a strange mix if yellow fever and the bubonic plague. While their father, has gotten sued by his company workers for paying them under minimum wage, and he was supposed to serve jail time. But one day before he got sent to jail, the judge lifted the order after he seemed to no longer be guilty.
Once Annabelle died, evidence revealed she had killed 7 lab workers and might have been exposed to a toxic chemical they were working on. But that wasn't the last of it. Her husband killed a separate set of lab workers too, at a lab called Virginia Barrington. They worked on genetic mutation, and when his secret was revealed, he served no jail time but died minutes later. Of course, when Jackson Watson died, his daughters Bermuda and Margaret were missing already.
When they went missing it was their school summer dance, that the school decided to have during summer break so the kids could get out more. When Bermuda arrived, witnesses say she was wearing a simple and casual white lace dress with a brown belt. She went around the back way of the school, but was never seen again. Her sister didn't even arrive at the dance, and her car was spotted abandoned on the side of a highway leading into the woods that all the cases have lead to.
I'm supposed to do field work in the woods tomorrow. A couple of my coworkers are skeptics and say I should drop the case. Although I can leave this case unsolved, I think ill get fired for it. Anyway, the skeptics are wrong. Tomorrow ill be fine.

Chapter 6 - Flashbacks - Taken by HER

I watch the girl staring at the wall. She looks like she is thinking of something. It's now 7 in the morning, so I take the blue-green egg and walk towards the spot that Esmeralda led me to last night. I crack the egg on the obsidian and smoke begins to rise. A wait a few minutes and a fried egg awaits me. "I haven't had protein since..." I begin but Esmeralda stops me when she starts running towards the hut. I shout for her but she has already made it back. I hear crunching in the twigs. I start running for the river and feel a cool breeze on my neck. Someone is heavily breathing when I realize it's me. I turn around and don't see anything. It's probably just the wind....

I turn back around. "Come... and PLAY... with ME..."

I hear little kids laughing and singing... "Riiiiiiiiiiiiiing... aroooooooooooouuuuuuund... the ROOOOOOOOOsie........ a pooooooooooooocket... fuuuuuuuuuuuullllllllll.... of POOOOOOsieeeeeeeeeees..... AAAAAAAAAAshes......... AAAAAAAAAAAAAshes... we allllll... falllllllllllll........... DOWN." I hear someone screaming and realize that it's me. I look at my hands and blood is covering them. My hands and been in shattered rock. "Saaaaaaaaaaaallllllly........." CREAK. THUD. BOOM. CRASH. My face feels hot and my heart beats fast. I wash my hands in the river and the entire river turns RED. My hands sting more when I notice the plants are dying. I run as fast as my short little legs would take me.

When I reach the hut, bones are surrounding it, along with a decaying body of a raccoon. That's what Esmeralda must have been afraid of. I'm to scared to look for an apple tree. I go into my hut and the girl is still there, sitting in a corner. I wrap my hands in my light purple blanket and hope it cures the hurt. That's when the world goes black.

"Ha ha ha hee hee!" I can see my classmates skipping in circles and playing together. A girl I knew named Riley looks at me with her icy blue eyes, but blood is coming out of them. "Sally, play with me...."
"Sally, why are you bleeding?"
"I can help you..."
The girls come closer... decaying... bloody, hands touching me. Blood is streaming down my face... and I'm falling deeper... and deeper.....................................
                                                               CRASH. It's night.

Chapter 5-Morning-Taken By Her

The brightness of the twinkly sun through the little cracks in the roof of the hut awoke me to a surprise. A little girl, who seemed to be on the edge of five was staring at me. She had dark brown hair, tan skin, and piercing green eyes. I squinted at her, looking at the chicken that hid behind her leg.
"It's okay Esmeralda. She must be lost. But how did Her not catch her? Maybe she came east and just missed the main path. But no one escapes Her! Not even the smart ones. Wait! She must be the girl who escaped from that house a bit west of here! That's it. What do you think Esmeralda? Same? I know! It seems so weird she was able to make it. Look! She's awake!" I groaned and rubbed my eyes. She was talking to someone, but I couldn't figure out what. Is there someone behind me? I scrambled up and as soon as I did I was already at the opposite wall of the hut. I  looked behind me, but no one was there. All there was was a little broken doll with its hair all bunched up in knots. Was she talking to the doll? The chicken squeaked a few times and laid an egg.
"Thank you Esmeralda! I still can't cook it though. I wonder if the girl might want something to drink. I'm low on berries so I might have to go out tonight or tomorrow. Maybe the girl knows how to cook! That's how she survived! I'll ask her. Girl? Do you know how to cook?" I shook my head, very confused on why she was talking to a chicken. But to be fair, I talk to the voices. And the voices seem to be the least of my worries now. I have realized what ever was in there, wanted us to stay.
You think I'm the least for your worries? Think again young blood. I think you might be forgetting I'm the one who controls you, and I can hear everything your thinking. And stop calling me the voices! My friends will only come if you try and be the little teenage rebel you are. We control you. Haven't I told you to call me Foni? Or are you brainless?
Im not brainless! Is that your version of are you deaf? Well, I'm neither. I just want to know who this girl is! And most of all why she's so young! I'm scared for my life right now, and you aren't making it any better by calling me young blood! I won't call you Foni until you call me Bermi!
The vapor in the skies rest at rainfall in the night young blood. The vapor in the skies rest at rainfall young blood. The vapor in the skies rest at rainfall young blood. Say okay.
No! I won't! I'm not taking orders from you!
       Maybe you will from me?
A deeper voice than the other one echoed in my head. I stared at the wall thinking at what it might be.
"Do you want a strawberry?"  the little girl handed me a single strawberry on a white cheese cloth. I turned to her to say thank you, but she seemed a bit alarmed.
"You...you're face is a bit... pale... and um... you're eyes are a bit scratched up."she politely said. I wiped my face with my hand and looked down to the cheese cloth. Drips of fresh dark red blood were sliding down my face onto it, as if I was crying blood. I set the strawberry aside and rubbed the cheese cloth on my face, hoping to clog up whatever wound there was, but it only made it worse.
Will you listen to me now?
The deeper voice spoke. It was him who made my eyes bleed. Or her, I will never know. I dabbed my finger a bit on my face to check for blood, and there wasn't as much as the first time, but there was still some.
"I've never heard of someone who cries blood... What do you think Esmeralda? You haven't either? Well, I guess this is new to you too then. It smells of rotting. Maybe it was just the blood. Have you seen anything suspicious around here Esmeralda? No? Okay. I guess you really only stay with me, so anything you see I will most likely see too. Does it hurt girl?" I shook my head.
"I'm Sally, by the way. You don't talk much. But that's okay. I've only talked to a chicken for the past year, and you might've just talked to yourself."
"I'm Bermi... I talk to the voices" I whisper.
It was us making you bleed... And don't forget there's another one.

Blog Update!!! Barely been on for 4 hours anniversary!

We are working on chapters 5 and 6, but it will start to take a bit longer for them to actually get published since we did the others in a rush so people wouldnt just see a blog with barely a chapter on it. There was also a glitch where chapter 4 shows up before chapter 3, and we're working on fixing it by in publishing and publishing it- so don't freak out if they disappear. The glitch is fixed! We weren't expecting there to be so many views on the chapters... (Yes 10 views is a lot for us) I know there's more than just 10 horror lovers out there tho.... So... Tell your friends! Even if they don't like horror they might find a interest for it now. We are working hard trying to get as many chapters out as possible so hope to get people seeing those! This may seem a bit more like some post a big blogger would post that had like 1 million followers, but we like to plan for the future! Cheers m' Bermis' and Sallys'! 👣👣👣👤🔪💀

Chapter 4 - An Obsidian Stone - Taken by HER

I squeeze into a corner of my hut and try not to make a sound. My palms sweat and my heart beats fast. In one hand I clutch my stuffed owl, in the other I am fidget with a leaf. The door creaks open and my raspy voice says, "Wh... who... is it-t-t-t...."
I start chewing on the tips of my dark brown braid, and my pure, big, green, eyes feel watery and itchy. A claw or talon like foot steps through the door and to my surprise, it's a black, white speckled chicken. How could it have opened the door? I think to myself.

The chicken looks at me with yellow eyes, and lays a single egg. She steps away from the egg, and nods her head. "I can't cook, I have no supplies," I whisper. The chicken squawks and walks toward something, so I follow her. I put on my tie-dye sweatshirt and follow her. The cool, midnight, breeze blows air on my tan skin. I realize the chicken is squawking, trying to say "look down" I look down. Obsidian stone. The sun reflects off such dark colored stone and causes the stone to reach extreme tempatures. I look at the egg I am holding and say, "Thank you, this is a useful breakfast gift," The chicken blinks and gives me a look that says, "I will stay, you're welcome," The chicken follows me home. I open the door, but a girl is there. I pick up Esmeralda, the chicken, and stare at the girl. She has long, wispy blonde hair, and was wearing black shoes. She is asleep, but notice marks on her wrists that look like they were left by metal.

I look over to the clump of trees, at the old tudor house. The window is open, one chain hanging out. Was she stuck in there? I go into my hut and sit down. I look at the girl, and whisper, "Who... are you?" I blink my eyes, hoping she'll wake up, when it hits me. Whoever had trapped her, is gonna come looking for her.

                                                                   We're not safe.
